  • I'm home!!!

Omy has it been over a month? why yes, yes it has been...

    Oh-Hi

ok so what happened? where have I been? blah blah blah... As many know I was over seas, well on March 14th-ish I finally returned to the States. Upon arrival I had to sell my house, find a new house, pack up an entire house, move into my new house (love it!) so thats what I have been doing. Im finally all (mostly) settled in and should be around much more often.

The move wasnt bad as I hired a moving company that did EVERYTHING for my lazy ass, to the point I didnt even clear out my closets, they came packed everything into boxes and the next day a different crew came and loaded it all up on a truck. I took off to my new location, got a hotel, checked out craigslist, newspapers, online etc... decided to rent for a bit since I am not too familiar with the area... found the awesomest (lol is that a word?) place in a beautiful private lake community (obv brag), with great school's for the kiddo's (brag #2), bought a new car (lexus biatch, Brag #3) so on a roll here, need more brags.... um chopped my hair off! (brag # 4???) oh wait... got carded trying to buy cigarettes (brag of a lifetime!)

It will take forever and a day to catch up on everyones blogs, so feel free to send me links to any gems I may have missed...hugs to all!

  • The things kids say...

Around Thanksgiving the little one and I were making those handprint turkeys. We had gone to the craft store earlier and picked up the little eyeballs, colored feathers, glitter and lots of markers. As we sat making our little turkey families we were discussing the pilgrims and the indians. What thanksgiving means, why we are thankful and what the early settlers went through.

Mostly I was making sure her second grade teacher covered it and didnt just make it a "Holiday". Now out of the blue my little one announces "I dont even like no Indians!" so Im thinking maybe something she learned prior about Indians hunting or scalping stories. What the heck is her teacher teaching the kids I'm wondering. I asked her "what do you mean you dont like indians?"

At this point she informed me of her friend that lives over by the bus stop and how this little girls mom is very snotty to the kids while they are waiting for the bus. "and they are indians thats why I dont like the indians" she says. I for the life of me cannot picture this woman or her child and I ask "well how do you know their indians?" and my little one looked at me crazy and says "cause she has one of them red dots on her head!"

I got a good laugh out of it and proceeded to explain the difference between American Indians and Indians from India. We ended up making alot of bright, feathery turkeys that day.

  • Who Am I?

    QuestionMark

I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country. I was not his only child. He fathered several children with numerous women. I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me.

My mother died at an early age from cancer. Later in life, questions arose over my real name. My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate. I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn't follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.

I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them. That was before I decided it was time to get serious about my life and I embarked on a new career. I wrote a book about my struggles growing up. It was clear to those who read my memoirs that I had difficulties accepting that my father abandoned me as a child.

I became active in local politics in my 30's then with help behind the scenes, I literally burst onto the scene as a candidate for national office in my 40s. They said I had a golden tongue and could talk anyone into anything. That reinforced my conceit. I had a virtually non-existent resume, little work history, and no experience in leading a single organization. Yet I was a powerful speaker and citizens were drawn to me as though I were a magnet and they were small roofing tacks. I drew incredibly large crowds during my public appearances. This bolstered my ego.

At first, my political campaign focused on my country's foreign policy. I was very critical of my country in the last war and seized every opportunity to bash my country. But what launched my rise to national prominence were my views on the country's economy. I pretended to have a really good plan on how we could do better and every poor person would be fed & housed for free. I knew which group was responsible for getting us into this mess. It was the free market, banks & corporations. I decided to start making citizens hate them & if they were envious of others who did well, the plan was clinched tight. I was the surprise candidate because I emerged from outside the traditional path of politics & was able to gain widespread popular support. I knew that, if I merely offered the people 'hope', together we could change our country and the world. So, I started to make my speeches sound like they were on behalf of the downtrodden, poor, ignorant to include "persecuted minorities" like the Jews.

My true views were not widely known & I needed to keep them unknown, until after I became my nation's leader. I had to carefully guard reality, as anybody could have easily found out what I really believed, if they had simply read my writings and examined those people I associated with. I'm glad they didn't. Then I became the most powerful man in the world. And the world learned the truth.

    Who am I???

  • Today's Youth...

What Happened? Is it because there are more single-parent households? Is it because many young males have drug dealers and/or thugs for role models? Is it because teachers are paid so little, they quit trying? Is it because spanking, hitting a child is frowned upon?

When I was younger there wasnt any such thing as ADHD, but apparantly 3/10 kids now have it... is it the food?

As a kid I would be gone for hours, sometimes miles away from home. Playing with friends, playing sports, bike riding, crossing busy roads etc... when the street lights came on I knew it was time to head back.

My kids arent allowed out of our neighborhood, and are required to check in every 30 minutes, unless at a friends house I gave permission to visit. They arent allowed to ride their bikes to 7-11 just a few blocks away. They arent allowed to detour on their way home from the bus stop. They arent allowed alot of things I was allowed as a child.

Kids werent getting pregnant in middle school when I was younger, kids werent trying drugs upon entering their teens. We didnt starve ourselves at the age of 12 to fit in, we didnt cut ourselves due to pent up frustrations, we never thought about suicide.

Why is it today with less freedoms kids are more prone to try drugs, have sex, diet excessively etc... Is it the TV? the music? the advertisments? the cool thing to do?

and what the hell happened here?

    WARNING: Graphic Vid

Is this monsters behavior the parents fault? teachers? society? everyones fault?

This isnt anything "new" or different. A simple search and we can find hundreds of similiar beatings, rapings, drug use all involving kids and teens.

    What happened?

  • Sometimes rude, but 100% honest comments.

    blogg

These are my comments for what is currently (as of right this second 10:30 am EST) rotating through the "Top Blogs"

bluedreamer85 (This System Isnt Working): Sometimes I think I have no empathy for others... ok Im lying I think this most times. While it is unfortunate what your mother is going through, this is a perfect example of why "Heath care for everyone!" is a horrid idea. I do believe you get what you pay for and if you dont pay, you basically dont get shit. I dont mind my tax dollars being used for some folks (elderly/children/disabled) to receive health care, but everyone? no way! Health care can be affordable however, due to greed by doctors, medical institutions and pharmaceutical companies, here we are.

Seedsower (Playground Faces): Most of them looked phallic to me... more penis like than face like. Well except for the ones with kids in them, I dont want anyone to think I see penis' anywhere within view of kids. Oh shit hold on... cops at the door.

JenniferTanner (Your everyday thoughts and needs, pft): What the hell is this? highschool? oh look, it is... shout outs to my BFF's! Guess what Jennifer... Every single one of us was exactly like you at that age. You're not mean, or have trust issues. We know you dont care what other people think... but we can also read between the lines. It is painfully obvious you do care what others think. No worries though your normal.

BlanketAttack (Dear Boy): awwww young love, it gets easier hang in there. WTF! Are you in college? Is this a highschool romance? I sure hope so cause it reads just like every other teen blog on the web. Oh to be young and think this is such a big deal. However it's nice to get such great support from every other teen blogger on the net. "I know how you feel" or "boys are lame" or "he's not worth it" or "you go girl".

AlterEgo909 (Take me on a date): What a nice refreshing blog, After the last one I read this is the grown up kind of stuff I enjoy. About time an actual "top blog" deserved to be a "top blog". yeah I know I didnt say anything rude or sarcastic, whatev...

Jonathan (I used to be a xangalebrity): used to be? looks like 3 whole sentences proves you still are. I was confused by the "used to be" so I scrolled back thru some old blogs to see if maybe there was something of dazzling xangalebrity-ness to see... nope oh wait there it is... 1200+ friends now I see it! welcome back from your hiatus of 2 weeks?

    baabyle (emo haiku): *yawn*

woneyb (screen.width*0.7) {this.resized=true; this.width=screen.width*0.7; this.style.cursor='hand'): Now this is just a masterpiece of the mind, the way it flows and covers every imaginable thought I have ever had. Top blog? no way, this is #1 Featured material if I ever saw it!

Nancybratt (regular updates will resume and becky? 21 is not old): Wow, did I say something about empathy earlier? This blog should be required reading to anyone on this site that has ever used the word thinspo in a blog. The glamorization of ana/mia on this site sickens me and this blog is the dose of reality many of these young girls need!

xsafety_x_pinned_xheart (Ummmm): sorry Im not gonna type out all the x's underscores and crap, you guys know which blogger I mean. Im so sick of reading about God and Religion on this site... oh so dont bother opening the blog you say? how the hell am I suppose to know Ummmm=another religious quote? I dont have a problem with religion or people blogging about it and yes I do believe in God, but damn this place (xanga) is filled with it. Im sick of reading blogs about it, except the woman with the beautiful kids and decorating skills to put Martha Stewart to shame, I love that blog.

GOldENmemoirs (I dont even know if this has a title or if the name is the title): what? who? when... is this another religious blog? Is this even english?

Icicle84 (Hi): This no longer phases me... lol

Now I may be jumping to conclusions to say I think all of the above bloggers are secure enough in their blogging to handle anything I may have said. To those that arent... sorry         (not really)
